Samsung Email app Surpasses 100 Million Downloads in Google Play Store

Samsung Email recently clocked and passed 100 million downloads on Google Play Store which is something to boast about. The app is adapted only for Samsung devices running Android 7.0 Nougat, and most of the phones already have it pre-installed, yet the number of hits are still counting.

But why did the Korean OEM put the app up for downloads when it can only be downloaded on a phone which it is already pre-installed on? Other manufacturers would simply update these system apps through a Play Store update then send it OTA.

Apart from sending and receiving mails, the Samsung Email app also supports POP3, IMAP, and Exchange ActiveSync which enables users to smoothly manage multiple personal and business email accounts.

Meanwhile, the 100 million download count cannot be used to measure any sorts of handset sales figures, as the Samsung Email app was added to Play Store in January and that was before the launch of her 2017 high-end Galaxy 8, 8+ and Galaxy Note 8 phones.

The recently released Samsung Internet browser which has also been downloaded over an 100 million times is another testimony of the open-arm welcome of apps from the brand. Though, unlike her email app, this browser is not limited to only Samsung phones. You can download Samsung Email here.
