
Few years ago, handsets with 2GB RAM were considered high-end, but now, they don't even fit the mid-range bracket. So the Nokia 3—released last year—is more of an entry-level device powered by 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
Well, a new version with improved specs which will be called Nokia 3.1 or Nokia 3 (2018) will likely be launched soon. The name of the yet-to-be-announced smartphone was recently spotted in the user agent, but other than that every other detail about it still remains in the dark.

Additionally, it has been reported that the HMD may release the upgraded models of other Nokia-branded handsets along with the Nokia 3 this year. The company's CMO Pekka Rentala confirmed that work is in progress for the coming of a Nokia 5.1 (Nokia 5 2018).
