But a large number of Android smartphone makers are now featuring it on their phones, and this big fat top bezel cutout can be clearly seen at the front of the leaked image of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7. If this supposed flagship truly appears with a notch, then Samsung would be the only brand in the Top 5 Android phone manufacturers that is not following the trend.

Besides being notch-y, Xiaomi Mi 7 sports similar rear design and camera placement with the Mi Mix 2s as you can see below. However, the latter is much smaller which suggests that the Mi 7 might sport a large 6-inch display which is also trending everywhere. The fingerprint scanner is also mounted on the back where the finger can access it for easily unlocking the phone when holding it with one hand.
The leak showcases a beautiful beige glass (or maybe ceramic, like on the Mix 2s) body for the unannounced Mi 7, and the vertically placed dual camera will likely feature the Mi Mix 2s kit, with optical zoom, and other functions. The handset is set to be unveiled by May 23, where it is expected to launch with 6GB RAM/128 GB storage, but there are rumors of another variant with 8GB/256GB memory.
