New Instagram Feature: How to add Music to your Stories

Instagram recently published a new feature on its mobile app, dubbed Music in Stories. This will enable users who are use Instagram Stories to put music to them on iPhone alone for now.


Instagram allows users to add music to their Stories, but only on iOS

The company said that the option to add music to your Stories is limited to iOS device at the moment, but will later roll out to Android handsets in no distant time. In addition, they added that Music in Stories is not open for users around the world, as the feature will only be available in 51 countries.

To put music in your Story, you need to touch to add a sticker to a video or photo in stories to access the music icon. There are thousands of songs you can browse through and even search for a particular one once you touch the music icon.

Furthermore, Instagram added few filters to help you pick the correct music for your stories which you can sort by genre, mood or trend. You can also listen to the song before sharing it live to your Stories.

In addition, users can pick a song before recording a video by moving to the new "Music" option beneath the record icon when they open the camera. You 'll now record a video as the song plays behind the scene.

Note that your friends viewing your Stories will be able to see a sticker displaying the song title and actor name.
