Apple HomePod was exposed to a security vulnerability after IOS 11.2 was launched. It gave strangers accesss to hack into the system and open a smartlock that was part of the company's HomeKit accessory line.
A server-side update, which required Apple to disable the remote access for shared users on the HomePod, was done to close the vulnerability. However, yesterday's iOS 11.2.1 update restored the feature for Apple's smart speaker, set to launch early next year.
According to one iPhone user, the root cause of autofocus issue affecting some models of the phone is through iOS 11.2. The bug disappeared when he rolled back his handset to iOS 11.1.2, but returned immediately he reinstalled iOS 11.2. The bug was also exterminated thanks to iOS 11.2.1 update.
