New Renders of Samsung Galaxy S9+ Shows a Larger Display, Dual Camera

We've earlier been hinted on what's likely the Samsung Galaxy S9. Now, similar renders of the upcoming Galaxy S9 Plus has emerged, giving confirmation that the Korean OEM is differentiating its two flagship phones by more than just their size.

MySmartPrice and again, @OnLeaks are behind the leaked renders; the latter is well-known for revealing renders of unannounced phones. Samsung Galaxy S9+ is expected to sport a 6.1-inch display which measures at 157.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm. If true, the phone will be 0.1 inches smaller than this year's Galaxy S8+ 6.2" screen, and won't also be as tall as it (159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm). Though, it'll be tad wider and thicker, and this drops another hint that Samsung will adopt a larger inbuilt battery.

The Galaxy S9 reportedly features a single rear camera, while the larger Galaxy S9+ should come with a vertically positioned dual rear camera — as on the Galaxy Note 8. The rear fingerprint scanner of the S9 plus will likely have a similar placement - below the camera, as it'll be done on the S9.

So far on the Galaxy S9 and S9+, we learnt that Samsung might be following the steps of American rival—Apple, with its iPhone and iPhone Plus models, offering an enhanced camera experience on the larger handset. The truth is other Galaxy flagships from Samsung aren't like this; in fact, the S9+ will become the very first Galaxy S model to feature a dual rear camera.

The launch event of the Samsung Galaxy S9+ may take place next year; possibly at MWC 2018 (February 28 - March 1). Is this phone perfect?
