Motorola Razr Might be Coming Back with Foldable Design

A lot of old phones are now going through rebirth in recent times. Last year, HMD Global revived the Nokia 3310, spicing it up with 4G, and doing the same to the legendary Nokia 8110 Banana Phone few days ago. Now, Motorola is set to bring back its popular flip phone—RAZR to life.

In May 2016, Lenovo teased the return of Motorola Razr which didn’t happen; instead, the company launched Motorola Moto Z with modular capabilities. Again this year, Lenovo CEO, Yang, suggested that RAZR may be relaunched with foldable design.

“With the new technology, particularly foldable screens, I think you will see more and more innovation on our smartphone design. So hopefully what you just described (referring to the Moto RAZR brand) will be developed or realized very soon,” he said.

Many years ago, Motorola Razr was very popular with about 130 million units sold since its launch in 2004. We hope it's new version will be launched sooner rather than later.
