Xiaomi Redmi S2 now Listed on Popular Online Shopping Mall

Back in April, we started hearing rumours of Xiaomi Redmi S2 when its firmware files were posted by XDA Developers, thus revealing some of its specs. Now, the good news is the smartphone will soon be launched precisely by May 10 in China, as it is already listed on popular online retailer AliExpress.

The Chinese company said the Xiaomi Redmi S2 will support Ai portrait mode and Ai beauty, as well as dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots, even though the Redmi 5 series adopted Hybrid Dual SIM slots. The upcoming smartphone will sport a 5.99-inch HD+ display at 1440 × 720 pixels resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio.

For image duties, there will be a dual camera setup of 12MP+5MP on the back and a 16-megapixel front facing shooter for selfie and video chat. The yet-to-be-announced Xiaomi redmi S2 is reportedly ultra slim, featuring a fingerprint scanner and two memory variants of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB ROM. There may be Face Unlock feature on it too.
