
The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari was photographed making a call with a not-too-impressive smartphone. A closer look at the picture above shows he is using HTC One M8, a 2014 flagship phone; and many citizens have reacted to this.

The phone sports a 5-inch display at 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, featuring dual 4MP rear camera, paired with 5MP front facing shooter for selfies. Under the hood is 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 Processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM, 2600mAH battery capacity and Android 4.4.2 (KitKat).
The price of the device ranges from ₦80,000 – ₦120,000 on Jumia, a popular online retail website. Here are screenshots of some of the reaction made by Nigerians after seeing the viral pic. Some said he's simple, not a fan of luxury life, and so on; while others claim it's a political propaganda.
