HTC Welcomes Android 8.0 Oreo; Announces Smartphones to Accompany The System

After Google unveiled the latest Android 8.0 system on the twenty-first of August, Taiwan smartphone OEM, HTC, has officially confirmed that some of its devices will be getting the Android Oreo update before the end of the year.

HTC took to their social media page to announce that the HTC 10, HTC U Ultra and HTC U11 smartphones will be getting the Android Oreo update. The phone maker only dropped a teaser, as there was no word as to when the roll out will officially begin to hit the HTC 10 and HTC U Ultra smartphones. However, it's certain they'll get the update after the U11.

HTC confirms Android 8.0 Oreo updates

"We're excited to bring Android 8.0 to the HTC U11, U Ultra, & 10, beginning with U11 in Q4. Stay tuned for more Oreo details & new products!"

The tweet from HTC also confirms a global roll out, meaning other smartphone brands will also get it soon. So, the above HTC devices will accompany the features of Android 8.0 Oreo, and according to HTC, details regarding this and other handsets that will be getting Android O will be announced soon.
