You can now see Instagram Followers Last Seen via Activity Status

A new update is now available for Instagram which adds Activity Status to the popular photo/video sharing platform. The company didn't make any official statements concerning this new feature, but some users who already caught the update has confirmed that the feature is now working well.

Thanks to this feature, you can see if a user is online or the last time he/she logged in on Instagram. When a friend is currently online, you will see a label "Active now" below their name. But if not, you should see "Active a moment ago or a specific time."

The Activity Status has been activated on default for users on Instagram. You can access it in the app settings. If you love your privacy, you can always disable this function by turning off "Show Activity Status" via settings. But once you do this, you won't be able to see the active status and last seen of other people, and they won't see yours too.

The update is still rolling out. To check if the feature has been activated for you, simmply navigate to your DM and see the activity status below the name of friends you've messaged.
