HMD Global is Ready to Unveil the Newly-Revived Nokia N8 Phone

It seems HMD Global is kicking off a new trend of reviving old handsets, one which other manufacturers like Motorola, etc., are now diving into. Since HMD's inception, they've so far resuscitated two old Nokia-branded phones: starting with the popular Nokia 3310 last year, and the newly-upgraded Nokia 8110, otherwise called the banana phone. It's a good thing that HMD Global has chosen to also enjoy some of Nokia's historical advantages since they acquired the brand. Again, the Finnish company is set to revive yet another device which could be one in the old Nokia N series.

A post dropped over on Nokia's official Weibo account teased the possible launch of an all new Nokia N series smartphone between April 27 and May 2. The company didn't mention any specific name, but the post teaser was shared with an image of the original Nokia N8, which suggests a reborn version is approaching. If true, the device will likely be available exclusively in China, nonetheless, it may ship to other countries if it gets popular enough.

By the way, we're also anticipating the introduction of the newly-revived Nokia X series, with the Nokia X6 expected to be revealed today. Specs of this upcoming smartphone has leaked couple of times, revealing a tall 19:9 display with a notch on top, and also a dual-camera setup at the back. So before this month runs out, we may witness the announcement of two refurbished Nokia phones: Nokia X6 and this unspecified Nokia N name.
