The whole OnePlus family was gingered when Google announced that Android P beta can be installed on various smartphones, including the upcoming OnePlus 6 which is slated to launch in few days time. However, owners of the OnePlus 5 and 5T won't receive the Android P update until later this year since the final version of the OS hasn't been released yet.

While waiting for that, OnePlus is also preparing small updates to both of its 2017 flagships, which adds new features and enhancements. A new beta update is now available for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T which is released to improve the Launcher and Switch app on the phones.

Thanks to this update, the Launcher is getting a Hidden Space in the app drawer, a Toolbox Card in the shelf, and support for editing dynamic icons like weather, clock, as well as calendar. While the OnePlus Switch app on the other hand received some UI optimizations that should make it easier to backup and restore data.
