Corning Gorilla Glass 6: Drop your Phone 15 times, and it WON'T Crack

To be honest, I hate it if there's just a little crack on my phone's screen. Well, the good news is that if you have a problem with dropping your phone every time, Corning has manufactured a new glass cover called the Gorilla Glass 6 for protection against screen cracks and scratches.

According to tests carried out, this new Gorilla Glass 6 screen–which stands as an upgrade to the Gorilla Glass 5–can withstand 15 drops of 1 meter onto rough surfaces. Corning designed this glass after their research work revealed that the average person drops his or her phone seven times in a year, mostly at 1 meter or less.

Interestingly, the Corning Gorilla 6 has adjusted its design to fit that of modern day smartphones; using edged screen and glass back. The screen protection is currently being tested out by various smartphone manufacturers, and they're set to launch in a few months, expected to cover over 85% of phone.
