The First OnePlus Leaflet Will Arrive In September 2023

2023 will be a very active year for the leaflet market and the Chinese company (OnePlus) wants to be one of the protagonists.

The past year has seen the release of several foldable smartphones, though most of them have never left Chinese soil. However, in 2023 it seems that things will change drastically: OPPO has already brought its Find N2 Flip to Europe and soon another company will officially enter this sector. We’re talking about OnePlus, which seems intent on announcing the OnePlus V Fold to the world.

According to what was leaked by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the new leaflet should be released in the third quarter of 2023, probably between the months of July and September. This window coincides with that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which could be its main rival. From what has emerged so far, OnePlus V Fold should have a more compact form factor, in contrast to the design adopted by the South Korean company’s series.

In fact, the device reportedly shouldn’t be much different from the OPPO Find N2, announced only for the Chinese market. However, the OnePlus V Fold will have slightly different specifications, starting with the 2K resolution of the displays, which will be higher than the Full HD+ screens used on the Find N2.

Although the technical specifications are not confirmed yet, it is very predictable that it will be a high-end model. It will probably be equipped with the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen. 2 chip or, at most, last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen. 1. The photographic sector will again be optimized in collaboration with Hasselblad. It will be curious to understand if OnePlus will be able to make the fold of the display less visible than the competition and, above all, what the selling price will be on the market, which could play a very important role in the success of the device.
