In recent times, we've seen so many smartphones being cleared off the shelves in few seconds. Last month, $15m worth of Huawei P20/P20 Pro units sold out in 10 seconds, Xiaomi also announced—back in February—that the Redmi Note 5 Pro ran out of stock in 10 seconds. Now, the recently launched Nokia X6 went on a flash sale in China, where it completely sold out in just 10 seconds. Although, the number of units sold was not disclosed, this is becoming more of a trend seeing new releases being cleared out fast.

HMD Global officially unveiled the Nokia X6 only few days ago as the first smartphone from the brand to have a notch design. The beautiful mid-range device comes in three variants: the model with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage is priced at 1299 Yuan ($203, ₦73,440). On the other hand, 1499 Yuan ($235, N84,960) can buy you the Nokia X6 with 4GB RAM plus 64GB ROM. And lastly, the top-tier 6GB of RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage variant costs 1699 Yuan ($266, #95,760)

Over 700,000 people registered for different versions of the Nokia X6 phone from two Chinese e-commerce firms, JT.com and Suning. The next sale is slated for May 30th. But in case you aren't aware, the X6 is available exclusively in China. However, a poll taken by the company's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas revealed that consumers want the handset to be released to other countries and markets. This flash sale success is a good reason for them to break the barrier.

Spec-wise, Nokia X6 sports a large 5.8-inch display with a 1080 x 2280 FHD+ resolution, and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It features a dual camera setup of 12MP + 5MP on the rear, and a 16MP selfie shooter in front. Under the hood is a 1.8GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, paired with 3000mAh battery to keep the lights on while running the pre-installed Android Oreo.
